Do I need trees or wall hooks?
No. The set is complete – assemble the stand, hook in the hammock, done. No wall, no tree needed.
Is the hammock suitable for outdoor use?
The organic cotton spreader bar hammock is best suited to sheltered outdoor areas and indoor use. For permanent outdoor use we recommend the Nautico Outdoor R set. In windy conditions we recommend taking the hammock down – otherwise the stand can tip over.
How long does assembly take?
Around 15–30 minutes, with no special tools at all. Illustrated instructions are included.
Can I wash the hammock?
Nautico Organic R can be washed by hand. You will find the exact care instructions on the product label.
How much weight does the set hold?
The Single Size set holds up to 120 kg. Please observe the stated maximum.
Can I use the Nautico stand with other hammocks too?
The hammock is already included in this set – but the Nautico stand itself fits all Single Size hammocks, with or without a spreader bar.
What does the spreader bar do for me?
The spreader bar keeps the hammock permanently open – making it easier to get in and creating a wide, relaxed lying surface. Without a spreader bar, the cloth moulds more closely around the body.
Is the set available with a different type of stand?
Yes. The same spreader bar hammock is also available in the Maera Organic R set in FSC™ certified eucalyptus – whichever suits your taste and your space.
Is this spreader bar hammock also suitable for families with children?
For families with children we tend to recommend hammocks without a spreader bar – they are more stable against tipping. The Nautico Organic set is particularly well suited to this.
