  • Brisa Lime - Handmade in Colombia

    Handmade in Colombia

A centuries-old design with a modern twist: we believe in improving hammocks, not culturally appropriating them. Hammocks are a cultural asset that reflect the spirit and diversity of Colombia—and we aim to keep it that way.

  • Brisa Lime - Durable & Weatherproof

    Durable & Weatherproof

Designed for care-free relaxation: a resilient fabric with tearproof edges. LA SIESTA’s fast drying, outdoor material is resistant to mold-, mildew- and UV-damage. Plus it’s machine washable, so you can rest easy.

  • Brisa Lime - Better Weight Distribution

    Better Weight Distribution

True measure of excellence: the quality of a classic hammock is measured by the number of suspension cords—the more cords it has, the more comfortable it is. LA SIESTA’s Multicord design guarantees optimal weight distribution and unparalleled comfort.

  • Weatherproof Fabric

Our unique, weather-resistant material was specially developed for the requirements of outdoor hammocks. It’s easy to maintain, quick-drying, colorfast and resistant to mold and mildew damage.

  • Classic Kingsize Hammock

Traditional South American hammock for one or more persons with a seating width of 5 ft 11 in—great for families! For a perfect hammock experience, we recommend a diagonal lying position—this creates more surface area (i.e. comfort) by allowing your body to “spread out” and open the cloth surface.

  • Tearproof Edges

Incredibly durable weaving safeguards against common damage to the fabric. Reinforced selvages with double weft threads are particularly tearproof, helping to ensure years of blissful relaxation.

  • Plenty of Suspension Cords

The number of suspension cords is directly related to the overall comfort and durability of a hammock. The more there are, the more evenly your weight is distributed—creating a feeling of weightlessness!

  • Advice & Care

    • Required space

The distance necessary between the two suspension points can be determined by a simple rule of thumb: The suspension height (y) should be approximately one half of the suspension distance (x). If the distance between the suspension points is greater, the hammock must be mounted somewhat higher.

    • Fixation

      Hammock between two trees

Depending on the size of your hammock, the trees must be at least 3 meters apart and strong enough to bear the weight. In order to mount the hammock between two trees, a rope is looped around the tree trunk and attached to the hammock.

      Hammock between two walls

Weight bearing and solid walls are suitable for mounting hammocks. The MultiSpot is especially simple and safe, distributing the weight over three drilled holes.

    • Reclining position

When you lay in the hammock diagonally, your body expands the surface area so the fabric does not constrict. In the diagonal position, there is optimal support of the back and pressure is removed from the spine. This position also makes rocking more pleasant.

    • Machine-washable

This hammock can be machine-washed: delicate cycle 86 °F!

    • Bind the cords together

Bind the suspension cords together before washing to avoid tangling. The Brazilian macramé can be protected by using a mesh wash bag.

    • Do not tumble dry!

In order to preserve your product, line dry. Do not machine dry.

    • Protect from abrasion

Ensure that your hammock swings freely and does not rub on the ground.

    • Keep dry during winter

We recommend cleaning and thoroughly drying the hammock before the winter season. After it is completely dried, store the hammock in plastic to protect from vermin.
