In their mother’s womb, babies experience a high degree of protection and the permanent motion of their mothers’ bodies has a very calming effect.

After being born, babies still need comfort and protection and they love being rocked back and forth softly. Hammocks are almost perfect for that purpose and they often provide the much needed support for young parents when having to get their little ones to sleep.
